From unmissable comedy nights and live music nights to immersive light laser shows and winter festivals, we highlight what’s on in West London | November 2023 in Hammersmith.
Wednesday 1st November – Live at the Lyric @ Lyric Theatre, 7:30 pm
Join a selection of the UK’s best comedy performers, including Shaparak Khorsandi (I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!), Ivo Graham (Mock The Week), Fiona Allen (Mock the Week), Stephen Bailey (Live At The Apollo) and more at the Lyric Theatre for an evening of rib-tickling comedy.
The comedy night is a fundraising event on behalf of the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith.

Saturday 4th November – Glow @ Lyric Theatre
Glow, a Buglight Theatre production, follows Gwen, the Glow Worm who lost her ‘glow’ and her bug besties, who venture on a multi-sensory adventures to try to ‘fix’ her glow. On their journey Gwen and her friends face challenges and learn that when in the darkest of places it’s their friends that can help turn on the lights.

Friday 5th November – Saturday 4th November – Full on Fawkes | Light-Laser-Sound Extravaganza @ Bishops Park and Ravenscourt Park, 3.30 pm
Watch London’s largest immersive light-laser sound extravaganza.
Spectators can enjoy three immersive shows which use sensational new eco-friendly alternative to fireworks.
Gates will open at 3.30 pm for visitors to enjoy pre-show entertainment, including a funfair, illuminous face painting, LED Stilt Walkers, UV bubble displays and performers. Food and drink will be available alongside hot chocolate and marshmallows to keep you warm.
Tickets cover full acess to all showings.
Sunday 5th November – The Four Heads Race Fan Zone @ Furnivall Gardens
The Fours Head Race is a race for coxed fours, coxless fours and coxless quads on the 4.5 mile Championship Course on the River Thames.
Join other rowing enthusiasts at Furnivall Gardens fan zone to cheer and celebrate.
Saturday 11th November – Terrarium Masterclass with Glass Gardens @ Outsider Tart
Create your own mini ecosystem by using glass vessels, live plants and various natural elements such as soil, stones, sand and moss to take home with you or give to someone special, all while learning about nature, house plants and much more.

Join special guests at Lyric Square for the lighting of the Christmas tree at 6pm.

Saturday 25th November – Winter Festival @ Lyric Square and King Street, 10 am – 4 pm
The Hammersmith Winter Festival is back this year and it promises to be better than ever before. From food stalls to drinks and entertainment, the festival has it all.
You can expect to see Santa, Elves, Robins, and even a tribute act for Kylie Minogue.
The food quarter serves a range of global cuisines, and the pop-up market has stalls offering crafts, jewellery, art, clothes, and home accessories.
Every Friday – Live Music @ Flame and Fire Restaurant, 7 pm
Flame and Fire, an upscale modern European grill restaurant, hosts weekly live music nights featuring talented singers and pianists.

Friday 10th November – Saturday 23rd December – Feeling Afraid as if Something Terrible is Going to Happen @ Bush Theatre
Fresh from Edinburgh Fringe, ‘Feeling Afraid as if Something Terrible is Going to Happen’, a critically acclaimed play winning both a Scotsman Fringe First and The Stage Edinburgh Award, is being performed at Bush Theatre.
The performance follows Marcelo, a 36 year old comedian, who, after years of swiping, finally meets Mr Right – and then does everything wrong.
Saturday 11th November – Brush Calligraphy and Bottomless Lunch @ The Oak, W12
Gather your friends and partners and escape to the Oak for a one and a half hour brush pen calligraphy workshop, followed by a delicious lunch with bottomless Prosecco or house mocktails.

Gunnersbury Park Museum is hosting a new exhibition celebrating the West London artists and craftspeople who brought the sci-fi films and television from the 1960s through to today to life.
The engaging and interactive exhibition will showcase the sets, costumes, prosthetics, props, and artistic visualisations that went into British Sci-Fi classics, including Doctor Who, the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Red Dwarf.

Kew Gardens is hosting an exhibition exploring the intriguing histories of Indian deodar cedar, the kauri pine from New Zealand, the Jamaican lacebark tree, and St Helena ebony through Kew’s archives, objects and artworks.
The exhibition has been created by two PhD students currently working in Kew’s Archives.

Tipis on the Green, a pop-up alpine bar and restaurant, is set to open in Parsons Green.
Inspired by cosy alpine ski chalets, Tipis on the Green will be offering exceptional food, drinks and festivities, all with no entry fee.
