Alan Turing – A Musical Biography

A musical following the extraordinary life of Alan Turing, a genius whose brilliant code-breaking brain saved approximately fourteen million lives in WW2.
The musical follows his journey through the loss of his closest friend, his romance with a fellow worker, the moment he realises how to beat the Germans and the growing awareness of his homosexuality.

Tuesday 30th January – 2nd March
Bush Theatre presents ‘This Might Not Be It’, a play that confronts the hard truths of our NHS mental health services.
The play follows Jay, a new temporary staff member at an NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service office, who arrives at the office with well-meaning plans to change the broken system. On the other hand, Angela has been working there for over 30 years and is unfazed by most things, except this eager new hire who seems determined to challenge her at every turn. Jay is exhausted by the protocol and decides to bend the rules in a desperate attempt to help their patients. This leads to shattered trust, crossed professional boundaries, and Jay discovers the reality of what’s truly at stake.
