What’s On in Hammersmith | January 2023
Sunday 8th January – The Magical Music Of Harry Potter @ Eventim Apollo, 3 pm
Live in Concert – The Magical Music of Harry Potter
A unique concert coming to W6, showcasing the musical highlights from the Harry Potter movies and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play which has received many awards in London and New York. Visitors will hear the music from soloists, a choir and symphony orchestra.
Thursday 19th January – Saturday 11th February – Othello @ Lyric Theatre
Frantic Assembly, co-produced with Curve, combines Shakespeare’s beautiful text with its own bruising physicality, and presents an Othello rooted in the 21st century. After having performed highly acclaimed runs of Othello in 2008 and 2014, they are back at the Lyric Theatre with an updated version for 2023.
What’s On in Chiswick | January 2023
Saturday 7th January – Duck Pond Market @ Chiswick House and Gardens, 10 am – 4 pm
Shop in the fresh air, admiring the beautiful Chiswick House and Gardens. The Duck Pond artisan market stretches down the driveway holding a range of local artists, food producers, and small businesses stands, selling products from jewellery, cards, candles, plants, street food, pottery and more.
Sunday 8th January – Chiswick Antiques & Vintage Market @ Chiswick High Road
Every second Sunday of the month, the outdoor Antiques & Vintage Market is in W4.
Stretching along Chiswick High Road, you’ll find a selection of stalls selling items ranging from art, furniture, collectables, architectural salvage and much more. With no week being the same, there is something new every time you visit.
Monday 9th January – Make Do & Meet @ The Crown and Anchor, 7.30 pm
Give your clothes a new lease this new year. If you have any clothes that need mending or have damaged clothes that you don’t know how to fix, Anna will teach you the skills you need to fix them at The Crown and Anchor, W4.
Thursday 19th January – Chiswick Book Club @ Waterstones, 7 pm – 8 pm
Chiswick Book Club is a monthly book club held at Waterstones, W4.
This month the Chiswick Book Club will be discussing Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr. There is no need to book in advance, all that is required is that you have read the book. Everyone is welcome and you will also receive a glass of wine on arrival.

Friday 20th January – Live Music @ The Steam Packet, 7 pm
Live music run every Wednesday from 7 pm at W4 3PU. With the line-up changing regularly, The Steam Packet offers visitors a selection of entertainment, from solo artists to three-piece bands playing everything from rock and roll to pop, and indie to jazz. There is music for everyone to tap along to.

Local football team, Queens Park Rangers will be playing Swansea at Loftus Stadium.

Don’t miss the last dates to ice skate at Westfield shopping centre. Whether you are a beginner finding your feet or an avid ice skater ready to show off your skills, there is fun for everyone.
What’s On in West London | January 2023
Saturday 7th January – Brentford vs West Ham United @ Brentford Stadium, 5.30 pm
Join Brentford football team at Brentford Stadium where they will play West Ham United.
Until Sunday 8th January – Christmas at Kew @ Kew Gardens
Spend an evening at Christmas at Kew Gardens, walking through the avenues of 12,000 trees and other botanical treasures filled with illuminations, light shows and interactive displays. Along the walk, you will find a selection of stalls serving food and drinks.
Sunday 29th January – Friday 31st March – Family Trail @ Gunnersbury Park, 10 am – 4.30 pm
Admittance is free and no booking required. Trail not available on Mondays.
Gunnersbury Park is holding a ‘Family Trail’ which involves visitors picking up a passport at the front desk and following clues scattered around Gunnersbury Park Museum and collecting stamps from each gallery. Completed passports have a chance of winning a cuddly toy inspired by the wildlife found in Gunnersbury Park.
