SUNDAY 26TH MARCH – THE BOAT RACE FESTIVAL @ THE CRABTREE, W6
Enjoy watching and celebrating the annual Boat Race at Crabtree Pub, Hammersmith.
The Crabtree will once again be holding their annual Boat Race Festival, where you will find an Aside Grill cooking delicious food on an outside fire, pop-up food stands, outside bars including a frozen margarita machine and live music throughout the day.
The Crabtree will be finishing on Rockeoke in the evening called ‘Be the lead singer of your live band’ where guests can sign up throughout the day & choose a song to rock out to in the evening!

THURSDAY 13TH APRIL – RIVER ROOM COMEDY NIGHT @ RIVERSIDE STUDIOS, 8 PM
Join Riverside Studios for stand-up comedy, previewing Luke Kempner and Bella Hull’s brand-new work.
Luke Kempner has quickly established himself as the hottest new impressionist for the millennial comedy generation, having appeared on channels 4’s The Last Leg and ITV2’s Stand-Up Sketch Show and Love Island Aftersun.
Bella Hulla is a London-based stand-up comedian who regularly plays sell-out crowds and has appeared on BBC’s Stand Up for Live Comedy and ITV’s The Stand Up Sketch Show.
SUNDAY 23RD APRIL – CLAY IN ART AND WINE @ LINDEN HOUSE, W6, 2 PM – 4 PM
A talk on clay from the point of view of a local ceramic artist and wine expert.
The same earth material that has been used to produce art for thousands of years, has also been used for vessels in winemaking. Clay continues to be essential from the vineyard to the winery, from growing grapes in clay soils to using clay amphora for fermentation and even fining prior to bottling.
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to different types of natural clays with demonstrations by local cermaic artist, Sylvie Joly, as she discusses their qualities and uses in pottery. Wine expert, Victoria Daskal will present a tutored tasting of six wines from around the world where the clay has played an important part in their production.

RAVENSWALL @ W6 0UQ
For adults RavensWall, a West London indoor bouldering centre, hold induction sessions, private coachings, and open social climbs for people to meet other like-minded climbers. These run throughout the week, all week, every week.
RavensWall runs weekend bouldering clubs for those aged 7-10 and 11+, on Saturdays and Sundays. They also run the popular NICAS programme (National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme) alongside local school half-terms. It’s always fully booked, but they do keep a waiting list open if parents want to get their kids involved.

A fun outdoor workout where dogs are always welcome.
Ravenscourt boot camp offers a variety of workouts for all ages and levels to help improve cardio, mental and physical health, and build strength, all in a social setting.

THURSDAY 27TH APRIL – FILM QUIZ AND SURPRISE SCREENING @ RIVERSIDE STUDIOS, 7 PM
Riverside Studios will have a quiz night in their screen one cinema as part of their Rally for Riverside fundraising drive.
Midway through the quiz, there will be an interval midway enabling you to take a break and grab some refreshments (the cinema bar will be open throughout the event).
Following the quiz, a surprise screening will take place.
First prize: Private hire in their 47-seat screening room of a film of the winners’ choice and their guests.
Runner-up prize: A complimentary meal voucher for each team member for use in our bar and kitchen.

WHAT’S ON THIS EASTER IN CHISWICK
There is plenty to do for those visiting or living in Chiswick. We outline what’s on in West London | April 2023 in Chiswick this Easter, from Easter holiday camps and Easter quests guaranteed to entertain the children to comedy nights and markets.
SUNDAY 2ND APRIL – CHISWICK FLOWER MARKET @ CHISWICK HIGH ROAD, 9AM – 3.30 PM
Chiswick Flower Market is a community-led market held the first Sunday of every month in the heart of Chiswick, run by a team of residents.
The market has around 30 – 40 stalls selling a range of products, from house plants, bedding, pots, cut flowers and horticultural products.
All proceeds go back into the local community, which has already funded the replanting and maintenance of most of the flower beds along the High Road, lighting up the ginkgo tree and the area outside George IV, and getting the obtrusive container that contained the old Air Quality Monitoring Station removed.
For the Coronation weekend, they will have a free Victorian-style carousel for children, a children’s theatre, music and dance.
Future plans include improving the public realm at Old Market Place and continuing to provide a central focus on the High Road, thereby boosting the heart of Chiswick and making it greener and more attractive.
MONDAY 3RD APRIL – TUESDAY 18TH APRIL – BIZZIE BUDDIES EASTER CAMP @ CHISWICK HOUSE AND GARDENS, 8.45 AM – 3 PM
A multiport camp for girls and boys aged 3 – 14 years. Throughout the day the children will play a variety of sports, including football, tennis, dodgeball, archery, rugby and more.
Alongside sports games, the camps will have an Arts and Crafts Camp, letting the children’s creativity flow, with activities including painting, clay modelling, drawing and projects to complete.

MONDAY 3RD APRIL – TUESDAY 18TH APRIL – EASTER HOLIDAY CAMPS @ ROCKS LANE
Rocks Lane Easter Holiday Camps will take place from Monday 3rd April – Tuesday 18th April, and are now available to book at 020 8994 1313.
Rocks Lane will run mini multi-sports, football, netball, panel and tennis camps throughout the Easter holidays.
Please note camps will not take place on Good Friday the 7th or Monday the 10th.
TUESDAY 4TH APRIL – STORYTIME @ CHISWICK LIBRARY, 11 AM
Held every Tuesday at Chiswick Library is Storytime.
Storytimes are aimed at children under 5 to help build their language and listening skills and provide a fun introduction to books and reading.
Sessions are free and last 30 minutes. You do not need to book places, but it is first come, first served.
SATURDAY 8TH APRIL – EASTER QUEST @ CHISWICK HOUSE AND GARDENS, 11 AM – 4PM
Join Chiswick House and Gardens this Easter holiday for an adventure-filled Easter quest. Children will be able to explore the gardens and hunt for clues. Along their hunt, they will discover traditional games to play.
Find all the Easter eggs and receive a chocolate treat.
The quest starts at the Conservatory and finishes at the Marquee.
The adventure is for all the family. Tickets cost £2 per person and are first come, first served.
TUESDAY 18TH APRIL – COMEDY NIGHT IN SUPPORT OF CHISWICK RNLI @ GEORGE VI
The popular and annual Comedy Night returns on Tuesday 18th April at the George IV on Chiswick High Road.
A host of comedians will entertain us for the evening. There will also be a raffle during the evening with a draw for many fantastic prizes, including meals at local restaurants and gift vouchers for many local shops.
Drinks and bar food will be available throughout the evening.

Sleepova is a new Bush Theatre performance created by Matilda Feyiṣayọ Ibini and directed by Jade Lewis.
The show focuses on four teenage girls as they approach their 16th birthdays, where they joke, squabble, share their secrets and slowly divulge their deepest hidden fears, all in a sacred space of the bedroom.
The show is a celebration of the young Black woman, which takes place in a relaxed environment, where the audiences are encouraged to react throughout the show.

KIDZANIA @ WESTFIELD LONDON, W12
KidZania London is an indoor interactive city for children aged 4-14 years old, which enables children to work, play, earn and learn in several role-play activities, from a surgeon to an airline pilot, firefighter to a radio DJ.
Each slot in the city lasts up to four hours, with activities ranging from 5 to 20 minutes, so children can expect to complete between 4 – 6 activities during their visit.
At the end of each session, they will be rewarded for their hard work with KidZania’s currency, kidZos, teaching the children the value of spending and saving.
Children must be accompanied by an adult during the check-in process, however, those aged 8+ can be left whilst parents explore Westfield, Shepherd’s Bush.

We outline what’s on in West London | April 2023, from the Gemini Boat Race and football matches to Easter trails and tours in many parks in West London that are sure to entertain the children this Easter holiday.
SUNDAY 26TH MARCH – THE GEMINI BOAT RACE
One of the largest British sporting fixtures since 1829, the Boat Race is a long-standing boat race contested by the Cambridge University and Oxford University boat clubs.
The first Men’s Boat Race took place in 1829 at Henley-on-the-Thames. For the next 25 years, contests happened irregularly until 1836, when the course moved to London between Westminster and Putney and moved to the current location in 1845.
The first Women’s Boat Race was held in 1927 on the Isis in Oxford and was raced intermittently until the mid-The first Women’s Boat Race was held in 1927 on the Isis in Oxford and was raced intermittently until the mid-1960s. From 1977 – 2014 the races took place at Henley-on-Thame as part of The Henley Boat Races, but moved to the current location in 2015, with both men’s and women’s races taking place on the same day on the same course.
The boat race is one of the world’s oldest amateur sporting events and often has over 250,000 spectators spread across the course and millions more on TV.
2023 will see the 77th Women’s Boat Race and the 168th Men’s Boat Race.

The Boat Race is free to attend, and there are fantastic local viewpoints along the River to watch the race, with both Furnivall Gardens and Bishops Park holding fan parks to watch the action.

Located in the middle section of the Boat race course is Furnivall Gardens, offering some fantastic views of the race. The fan park will have a big screen playing live coverage of the race, alongside street food vendors and bars. Entrance to the fan park is free.
TUESDAY 28TH MARCH – ENGLAND U21 V CROATIA U21 @ CRAVEN COTTAGE
England Under 21’s are playing Croatia Under 21’s at Craven Cottage.
Make your way to Craven Cottage via Hammersmith or Putney Bridge Underground station or Putney overground station. Alongside tube and train links, buses are available, or even a ferry to Putney Wharf.

Resting on the banks of the River Thames is Craven Cottage, the Oldest Professional clubs in London, with both the Johnny Haynes Stand and Cottage being Grade II listed buildings.
You can visit Craven Cottage, the home of Fulham Football Club, for a tour of the football grounds, taking you to all the key locations around the stadium, including the Jonny Haynes statue, home and away dressing rooms, the historic Cottage itself and much more.
Alongside the sights, you will hear about the club’s rich history from it starting as Fulham St Andrew’s, a church team, playing at various West London grounds before residing and first playing in Craven Cottage in 1896.
