THURSDAY 2ND FEBRUARY – QUIP SHED COMEDY @ LINDEN HOUSE, W6, 8 PM – 10 PM
Every first Thursday of every month the Linden House in Hammersmith holds a comedy gig.
An incredible line-up, featuring Josh Weller, Lily Phillips, host Lyle Barke, and headliner Rhys James. Rhys James haas appeared on Live At The Apollo, Mock the Week, Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central, Roast Battle and more.
THURSDAY 2ND – THURSDAY 23RD FEBRUARY – NOT-FOR-PROFIT YOGA
Whether you would like to attend the free Zoom yoga practise on Tuesday morning or the in-person yoga on Thursday for just £5, join their yoga classes. You’ll build strength, flexibility and balance all in one go.
Riverside studios provide mats for Not-For-Profit Yoga Thursday morning sessions.
SATURDAY 4TH FEBRUARY – GUIDED WALK: GOING TO THE FLICKS IN W6, 11 AM – 12 PM
Meeting point is Stamford Brook station.
Cinematic saunter along King Street and further, where you discover lost movie palaces, an early booking for the Rolling Stones, the site of ‘the Smallest Show on Earth’ and an Edwardian Electric Palace.
THURSDAY 12TH JANUARY – THURSDAY 23RD MARCH – OPEN AGE: THEATRE AND MOVEMENT WORKSHOPS @ RIVERSIDE STUDIOS
Riverside Studios partners with the charity, Open Age, to provide weekly theatre and movement workshops for those aged 50+. These classes are suitable for a range of abilities from beginners to those with experience, and each aims to increase participants’ performance skills.
Run by Laura McCluskey who is a playwright, director, mentor, and facilitator.
Please note: You must be an Open Age member to join these classes. The membership is free, and you can sign up during your first workshop.
WEDNESDAY 14TH FEBRUARY – LOVE IS BLIND; EXPERIENTIAL DINNER TO RAISE MONEY FOR GUIDE DOGS @ THE ANDOVER ARMS, 7 PM
This Valentine’s Day, enjoy a 3-course tasting dinner (including blind tasting) and raise money for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
The event is inspired by Dave Kent – a local of The Andover Arms who is a guide dog user.
Head Chef, Helder Goncalves, will create a three-course dinner, which involves a blind tasting of elements on the menu using visual deprivation masks. Customers are required to guess the objects by only using their hands.
A quiz, including facts about guide dogs, and the blind and partially sighted community will also be featured.
Simulation glasses will be available for guests to try on to replicate common eye conditions.
Tickets are £50 and this includes a £5 donation to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. The Andover Arms and Fullers will each contribute an additional £5 donation per sold ticket.

THURSDAY 16TH FEBRUARY – CHARITY DRAG BINGO @ 245 HAMMERSMITH ROAD, 6 PM – 9 PM
An evening of bingo, live and lipsync performances from Aidan Orange and Miss Joelle to celebrate LGBTQIA+ History Month.
A drink will be given on arrival but they do encourage you to BYOB.
Tickets are £5 (excluding booking fee). All proceeds will be donated to an LGBTQIA+ charity.
THURSDAY 23RD FEBRUARY – CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP: CREATING GREAT CHARACTERS, 10.30 AM – 12.30 PM
Theme: Creating Effective Characters
Suitable for beginners and for any writer who would like a creative boost.
Programme includes:
- Introductions
- Tips and discussion on the various ways to convey characters on the page
- A series of fun and simple exercises to get you creating your own characters
- Optional – choose one exercise to work up later for homework and brief written critique.
Cost: £40, includes coffee/tea and homemade brownies

The Chiswick flower shop is a local favourite. You’ll find a selection of flowers, bouquets, bedding plants, dried arrangements, and plants spilling out of every corner.
SUNDAY 12TH FEBRUARY – THE FOOD MARKET CHISWICK @ DUKE MEADOWS, 10 AM – 2 PM
Held every Sunday.
A collection of farmers, fishmongers, growers and bakers’ stalls, offering a selection of produce, including homemade bread, cakes, pastries, fish, fresh vegetables, fruit, artisan cheese and more.
MONDAY 13TH FEBRUARY – FRIDAY 17TH FEBRUARY – BIZZY BUDDIES HALF TERM ACTIVITY CAMP @ CHISWICK HOUSE AND GARDENS
Bizzy buddies half term activity camp is an indoor/outdoor playground with art and crafts, team building and multi-sports for children aged 3 – 14 years.
The children will be able to play sports, including tennis, archery, rugby and football. Alongside an Arts and Crafts camp, with projects including painting, clay modelling, drawing and more taking place.
Camp times are 9 am – 12 pm or 12 pm – 3 pm.

Shepherd’s Bush: Suburbs to the city is running for a limited time explore Shepherd’s Bush station.
You’ll get to learn about the line’s history as London’s third deepest Tube railway to be built, see the engineering behind cooling the warm line and how those same passageways were used in unexpected ways 80 years ago.
Please note: Children under 14 are not permitted on this tour. 14 to 16-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult.

Situated in the heart of West London is a 109-year-old market Shepherd’s Bush Market. The market offers a diverse range of traders and goods, selling products ranging from food and fabric to jewellery and hardware. It is popular among residents, locals, and tourists.
THURSDAY 9TH FEBRUARY – THURSDAY 20TH APRIL – THE UPPER ROOM WINTER LECTURE SERIES
The Upper Room Winter Lectures are fundraising events, featuring well-known and authoritative speakers. This year speakers include Sheila Hancock, Mallory Horrill and Jeremy Vine.
All events are free to all, but donations are welcome. Doors open at 7.45pm and the lectures are from 8 to 9pm.

WEDNESDAY 8TH FEBRUARY – Dementia-friendly health walks @ KEW GARDENS, 11 AM – 12 PM
Dementia-friendly health walks take place around the beautiful setting of Kew Gardens. These relaxing walks are designed to be accessible for people living with dementia.
Starting from Victoria Gate and lasting around 60 minutes, the walks are led by volunteer walk leaders.
Cost: Free, and free entry to the Gardens is included. Support workers, friends or family are also very welcome and will also receive free entry to the Gardens.

MONDAY 13TH FEBRUARY – FRIDAY 17TH FEBRUARY – HALF TERM UPCYCLING FASHION CAMP @ 98 CHURCHFIELD ROAD, W3
Restore W3 is a network of businesses and community groups who are dedicated to repairing, reusing and restoring items we already own.
Over the half term, Restore W3 will be holding an Upcycling Fashion Camp. The camp will be taught by experienced fashion and textile industry experts.
Focus will be on up-cycling and re-making. For the session the children can either bring in items from their wardrobes to embellish or can try making something from scratch from items the experts provide.
If children are attending more than one day, their work will be carried over.
Morning sessions 9-12pm (8-11 year olds)
Afternoon sessions 1-4pm (12-16 year olds)
£25 pp per session, £110 for full week.

A perfect day out for car enthusiasts this February. The historic home for motor cars is returning to West London. Visitors will see a collection of 100 varied classic and collector cars.
The London Classic Car Show will also present eight generations of the Porsche 911 and Corvette – giving you a chance to explore the evolution of each car.
